The ongoing need to build new and replacement transporation elements is a
continuing concern for the city of Chesapeake
and the Hampton Roads area. Tolls were used to fund the original building work,
but there hasn't been a consistent funding source in many years. The only tolls
at this time are the Jordan
Bridge and the Chesapeake
Expressway.
