Chesapeake is a city in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia which was founded in 1963. The city is 350 square miles and has an elevation of 1-28 feet. It had a population of 214,725 in 2004. Chesapeake has one of the largest land areas of any city in the United States. The size of the city has caused problems for the city leaders to support and manage the large area.
